Bio birthday cake

This week was a bit crazy and it’s not over yet, as I am going to start working on a new cake now. It takes up all my time, but I love it.  They say if you do what you love, you never work a day. 
The first cake of the week was a birthday cake for Sofia. I also made some edible butterflies for the cake which I gave to them separately to put on at the last minute. 
The cake – for a special request – was as organic as I could make it using bio sugar, flour, eggs and butter. It was interesting to discover that the bio buttercream had a slightly different colour (mainly because the bio sugar is not as white as the “normal” sugar).
The filling is buttercream with bio strawberry jam.
